Duncan MeikleOriginally from the north-west, born in Liverpool and educated in Widnes, after A Levels I went on to study History at University College, London.  Having enjoyed and completed my History degree I then trained as a teacher and took the Postgraduate Certificate in Education at North Cheshire College, Padgate – specialising in History and Maths.

My first teaching posts were both in Cheshire at Great Sankey and then Sandbach. During this period I also studied part-time for an additional research degree in History at Manchester University.  In 1991 I became Deputy Head at Morpeth in Northumberland and then in 1997 I gained my first Headship at King Edward VI School, Lichfield in Staffordshire.

I arrived in January 2006 at Lady Manners School where I am very much enjoying the chance to help our school to develop from strength to strength.
