Lady Manners School Sixth Form is a thriving community with currently 300 students.
Learning and Teaching
We are committed to supporting students in building on their successes at GCSE and then AS levels, to prepare them as fully as possible for the options and opportunities open to them when they leave the Sixth Form.
We offer a wide range of courses and an extensive range of extra-curricular activities.
The majority of our students progress to university (including Oxford or Cambridge) and increasing numbers are starting exciting futures in apprenticeships or employment which we support by offering strong links with industry, and a programme of invited speakers. Our students achieve very good results (click here to download our 2016 A Level results) and we have a better than average 'qualification success rate', meaning that more of our students start, finish and complete their courses successfully.
There's more to life than school work and, at Lady Manners School, we provide a full range of social, extra curricular and voluntary opportunities for all our students. Some examples of these are:
- The Sixth Form spearhead the Whole School Mentoring Programme in which students can offer and seek help academically and socially.
- We actively encourage involvement in the wider community through work experience, voluntary work and fund raising for local and national charities.
- The pastoral team are available for help and guidance and monitoring with regular contacts with home to update on progress and we offer a Bursary scheme to assist students financially.
All of this is centered in our purpose built Sixth Form centre. We are proud of this facility which houses a fully equipped ICT suite, a common room, snack bar and outdoor social area.
