I have been involved with Lady Manners School for twenty years as a parent of three boys all of whom attended the school, a member of staff and as a Governor so I feel that I have a fairly good perspective on all aspects of the school!
I have a teaching degree and recently retired from working for the best part of forty years as a Further Education lecturer, teacher and support worker in schools.
I now work on our small holding of thirty acres ( I like to call myself ‘Domain Manager’; such a lovely job title!) where I ride round doing lots of jobs on my tractor accompanied by my dogs and look after my chickens, pigs and horses, so not really retired at all!
I try to take an active role as Governor at the school and support as many of the school initiatives as I can and I am the Special Educational Need Governor, a job which keeps me very busy.
