Support Services Assistant (Catering)
  • Grade 3 £18,197 per annum pro rata
  • 22½ hours per week, 39 weeks per year
  • 10.30 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday

Join our highly popular and successful catering department to provide an exciting range of healthy meals to students and staff. We are looking for people who work well in a team, can work to deadlines and have excellent customer service skills. Ideally you should have experience of working in a catering environment although full training will be provided. Actual salary is £9,688 per annum.

Technical Support (Art & Design)
  • Grade 5 £18,933 to £19,311 per annum pro rata
  • 12 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
  • 9 am to 12 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (working pattern subject to change according to the school timetable)
  • Linked to external funding which is in place until 11 January 2022 in the first instance

To provide technical support within the Art and Design department in the classroom and to manage resources and equipment for lessons. You should be adaptable, well-organised and able to follow instructions. Knowledge of Art and Textiles equipment and resources would be advantageous. Actual salary is £5,376 to £5,483 per annum.

Specialist Music Tutor (Piano)

We are looking for a Music Tutor specialising in Piano to work on a self-employed basis from September 2021 in a thriving Music Department. The Tutor is required for approximately 4 hours per week in the first instance, although we are looking for someone who offers the potential to increase the provision owing to the current teacher's phased retirement.

You will be required to instruct individuals and/or small groups of students in all aspects of musicianship. Facilities are available to work on the school premises during the day.

The successful applicant will be expected to prepare students for Associated Board examinations (up to Grade 8) and also for the performing elements in GCSE and A-Level courses. You should have knowledge of instrumental technique and be able to maintain appropriate relationships with young people. You should have accompanying experience and the flexibility to support students in instrumental examinations, GCSE/A level coursework and school concerts. Accompanying may extend to rehearsals of school choirs.

PTFA Vacancies

Lady Manners School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) currently has the following vacancies. All vacancies are voluntary roles and provide a great opportunity to have a direct impact on the educational experience your child will enjoy. There are many different roles and ways to support the school which require as little or as much time as you can give. Alternatively there are other ways to support the school by donating funds or prizes which will help with fundraising for the development of resources and facilities available to all students at Lady Manners School.

PTFA Secretary
We are looking for a Secretary to join the existing committee members. The role involves planning agendas and taking notes at meetings which take place 3 to 6 times per year. It can be combined with the role of PTFA Administrator.
PTFA Administrator
If you like dealing with email correspondence, we have the perfect role for you. We need someone to check the emails to the PTFA account on a regular basis and respond or forward to the relevant person as needed.
PTFA Volunteer Co-ordinator
Enthusiasm and communication skills are needed to co-ordinate the willing number of volunteers. The register needs to be kept up to date with current contact details and availability. Rotas are needed for some events.
PTFA External Funding Co-ordinator
We are looking for someone to complete and co-ordinate the applications for grants and awards that might be available. Ideas to attract funding would also be very helpful.
PTFA Vice Chair
This role needs someone to support the Chair and to deputise for them in their absence. It will involve attending meetings 3 to 6 times per year as well as attending some of the events to help promote the work of the PTFA.

Relief Support Services Assistant

Duties include clearing, preparing and serving food and supervising students. Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous although full training will be provided. The rate of pay will be £9.43 per hour plus £1.37 per hour in lieu of annual leave/bank holidays.

Invigilator

Duties include assisting with the preparation of the examination room, supervising students during the examination and ensuring examinations run in accordance with rules and regulations. The rate of pay will be £9.62 per hour plus £1.39 per hour in lieu of annual leave/bank holidays.
